Oliver F. `Junior' Hooks Jr. Oliver Frank "Junior" Hooks Jr., 74, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late Oliver Frank Sr. and Minnie Mincey Hooks. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Miriam Brown Hooks; a son, Terry Hooks of Nichols; a daughter, Elizabeth "Pete" Jackson of Nichols; a brother, J.V. Hooks of Fair Bluff, N.C.; two aunts, Margaret Hooks Tyler of Loris and Dolly Mincey Rogers of Summerville; and two grandchildren, Meagan and Hannah Hooks of Nichols. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. The Rev. Danny Barber will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
