Ann Calhoun BENNETTSVILLE -- Services for Ann Brasington Calhoun, 69, will be held at 4 p.m. today in Sunset Memorial Park. Whitner-Evans Funeral Home is in charge. Mrs. Calhoun died Tuesday, October 16, 2001. Born in Marlboro County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Norman and Gladys Carlisle Brasington. She received her Bachelors Degree from Limestone College and her Masters Degree from Luther Rice Seminary. She had retired as the Marlboro County Director of the Department of Social Services, with 37 years of service. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Bennettsville Rotary Club. Surviving are daughter, Doris Ann Breeden of Bennettsville; brother, William Brasington Sr. of Denmark; grandchildren, Matthew Breeden and Edwin Breeden. She was preceded in death by brothers, Dr. Edwin Charles Brasington and John Carlisle Brasington.
