The State (Columbia): Thursday, October 11, 2001 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- James Stutler Jr. DILLON -- Funeral services for James Earl Stutler Jr., 27, will be held at 5 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Dillon First Baptist Church Building Fund, 400 N. 4th Ave., Dillon, SC 29536. Mr. Stutler died Tuesday, October 9, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Dillon County, December 17, 1973, he was the son of James Earl Stutler Sr. and Pansy Smith Stutler. He was a member of First Baptist Church, a construction worker, attended Francis Marion University where he was on the Dean's List, a former Boy Scout, an avid football, soccer, baseball, and basketball player. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Snipes Stutler of Dillon; parents, James Earl Stutler Sr. and Pansy S. Stutler of Dillon; stepdaughter, Dallas Page of Dillon; sisters, Elizabeth (Charles) Hunter of Hamer and Becky Stutler of Dillon, Briana Lane of Dillon; brothers, Jeff (Shannon) Stutler of Hamer and Jason Stutler of Charleston; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Giardino of Surfside Beach, S.C. and Mrs. Mary Smith of Dillon; nephew, John Michael Stutler of Dillon. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Theodore Smith.
