Marian Carter MARION -- Services for Marian Rogers Carter, 76, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2001 at Marion Baptist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening at Richardson Funeral Home. Mrs. Carter, wife of the late Leon Carter, died Monday, October 29, 2001 at Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Born in Dillon, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Mary Wiggins Rogers. Mrs. Carter worked at Tomlinson's Department Store for 24 years. She was a longtime member of Marion Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Terrell Carter of Chapin; daughter, Mary Mungo of Marion; brothers, Paul Rogers of Spartanburg, Doug Rogers of Mullins and Bobby Moody of Lake View; sister, Dorothy Binnicker of North Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Carter was predeceased by brothers, Ed. Rogers Jr. and Gentry Rogers.
