The State (Columbia): Wednesday, October 10, 2001 Onnie Dove DILLON -- Funeral services for Onnie Walton Dove, 92, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 this evening at Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Dove went to be with the Lord, Monday, October 8, 2001 in St. Eugene Medical Center after an illness. Born in Marion County, May 12, 1909, he was the son of the late Walton Cornelius Dove and Pearl Driver Dove. He was a member of Dillon Second Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and had owned Doves S & M Texaco. Surviving are his daughters, Janice Dove McLean of Dillon and Mrs. Sherlyn (Mark) Huber of Leclaire, Iowa; son, Dr. Clyde Gerald Dove of Greenville; sister, Gladys (Mrs. A.B.) Whittington of China Grove, N.C.; brothers, Leo Dove of Myrtle Beach, Roger Dove of Atlanta and Charles Dove of Huntsville, Ala.; nine grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
