In reply to rreese: I don't have any information about William Palmer. I don't believe he was associated with Bear Swamp Church, which is located in present day Dillon County, near Lake View and the state line. He is not listed in the church history. It's possible he was associated with Gapway Church, which is much closer to the Centenary area, but I really don't have any information on that. Have you tried searching the Marion Genweb site for Palmer? Also, there is a link there on church records. Centenary is in present day Marion County, several miles south of Mullins.
