Troy Cooper MULLINS -- Services for Troy Manning Cooper, 86, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2001, at the chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7-9 this evening at the funeral home. Mr. Cooper, husband of Avie Hewitt Cooper, died Monday, October 22, 2001, in Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Born December 28, 1914, in Marion County, he was a son of the late Ben and Lola Wiggins Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a retired farmer and a member of Rains Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Avie Hewitt Cooper of Florence; sons, Troy L. Cooper and his wife Ernestine of Mullins, Ben Cooper and his wife Kathy of Florence, James Cooper of Florence, Johnny Cooper of Aynor, Jimmy Cooper and his wife Robin of Florence, Ronnie Cooper and his wife Barbara of Florence; daughters, Libby Martin and her husband Johnny of Florence, Mary Kirby and her husband Kenny of Florence, Connie Benton and her husband Van of Andrews; sister, Rebecca Turner of Marion; brothers, Bevan Cooper of Florence, Malcolm Cooper of Aynor; 23 grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Mr. Cooper was predeceased by a daughter, Julie M. Causey.
