MULLINS — Mr. John Grainger, 66 died, Friday, September 12, 2008 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. A graveside service will be Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cook Funeral Home of Lake View. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 6:00 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Grainger was born in Dillon County on January 30, 1942, the son of the late Everette and Lorean Page Grainger. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Mr. Grainger retired from Sara Lee Hosiery. Surviving Mr. Grainger is his wife, Rosa Jones Grainger of the home; sons, Joey Grainger (Beverly) of Florence, S.C., Steven Grainger of Concord, N.C. and Mark Grainger of Wilmington, N.C.; brother, Wendell Grainger (Marie) of Lake View, S.C.; sister, Margie Grainger of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two grandsons, Dustin and Nicholas Grainger; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Kevin Welch of Charlotte, N.C.
