MULLINS — Mildred H. Chestnut, age 85, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Marion County Medical Center. Mrs. Chestnut was the daughter of the late Wilbur Hammond and Estelle McMillan. She was predeceased by her husband, James O. Chestnut. Surviving are her two sons, James Allen Chestnut (Dottie) of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Robert Winslow Chestnut of Mullins; one sister Katharine Cook of Nichols; one grandson, Christopher Ryan Chestnut of Myrtle Beach and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Devotion Gardens at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 21, 2008. Family will receive friends one hour before the graveside services at Devotion Gardens, Mullins, S.C.
