MULLINS — Mrs. Myrtle Baxley Jackson Pakkanen, 87, died Monday, September 22, 2008 at Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 24 in Cedardale Cemetery. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Mrs. Pakkanen was born January 15, 1921 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Malcolm and Cally Parker Baxley. She was retired from AVM. Mrs. Pakkanen was a member of Langston Baptist Church in Conway. Surviving Mrs. Pakkanen are: her Children: William Jackson and his wife Jean of Mullins, Sarah Lee and her husband John of Murrells Inlet, Jeanette Christmas and her husband Paul of Murrells Inlet and Earl Jackson and his wife LaTrelle of Florence; 7 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; and a Sister: Lucille Parham and her husband Jim of Acworth, Ga. Mrs. Pakkanen was predeceased by her first husband, Floyd Jackson and her second husband, Ernie Pakkanen.
