    2. NICHOLS — Kerbycile Hayes Hobbs, age 83, died Saturday, August 30, 2008 at home following an illness. Born June 17, 1925 in the Floyds community, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Lama Lewis Hayes. Mrs. Hobbs was predeceased by two infant children, John Henry and Kerby Lorenda, her husband, Moyd H. Hobbs; two brothers, J.P. and Ralph Hayes; one sister, Margaret Wilson. Surviving are her children, Amy Hobbs of Charleston and Danny (Debbie) Hobbs of Nichols, her grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Kristen, and Stephanie, and one great-grandchild, Memphis, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hobbs was a 1946 graduate of Winthrop College and a member of Floyds United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Nichols at 10:00 A.M. on September 1, 2008, officiated by Reverend Danny Wiley and Glen Elliott. Burial will follow at the cemetery. The family is most appreciative of the staff of Shepherd Hospice for the excellent care given to Mrs. Hobbs during her illness. Memorials may be made to Epworth Childrens Home, P.O.
