MARION — Mrs. Louise Cribb Koschel, 86, widow of Charles William Koschel, died Saturday, September 6, 2008, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence after an illness. She was born December 25, 1921 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Jimmy John Cribb and the late Mary Frances Richardson Cribb. Mrs. Koschel was a homemaker and a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Koschel are: a sister-in-law, Eleanor Swindell of Hampton, Va.; four grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Koschel was predeceased by two sons, Robert Charles Koschel and William R. Koschel; two brothers, Esau Cribb and G.P. Buster Cribb; and tree sisters, Maggie Bridgman, Flossie Garrett and Lottie Altman. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, September 8, at the Chapel of Smith-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Darrell Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, Va. Visitation will be held Monday afternoon from 4:30 until 5 p.m., 30 minutes prior to the service, at Smith-Collins Funeral Home.
