I was hoping to be able to find some birth and death records from 1918 and 1921. I am looking for Sampson Elmore Lane, Jr. who was said to be born in 1918 and died in 1920. I found a record on Ancestry that a SE Lane Jr died April 17, 1921(#010949), but it lists he was born in 1920. I have found the family in the census for 1920 and he is listed as 6 months old (in January). Where can I find these records? Do I have to go through the state or are there other places to get copies of these records? Thanks! Heather Francis
