MARION | Deborah ''Debbie'' Ruth Suggs, 49, died Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Carolina's Hospital after a brief illness. She was a child of God who loved all people and brought joy to all who knew her. Deborah was born June 1, 1960 in Miami, Florida. She enjoyed making special cards, sewing, and music. Surviving are her father, Dr. James L. Suggs and his wife, Rosemary, of Marion; mother, Betty West Leasure and her husband, Clinton, of Charleston; brother, William Kenneth Suggs of Myrtle Beach; sisters, Patricia A. (David A.) Suggs Broach of Florence and Rosemary Lynne Suggs of Marion; niece, Brittany Elise Suggs of Florence; stepbrother, Steven Leasure and his wife, Denise, of Charleston; her devoted aunt, Ann Ruth Figg of Tallahassee, Fla.; and cousins, Lisa (Charles) Suggs Burroughs Parish of Conway, Karen Marie (Don) Cox of Tallahassee, Fla., Nancy Kay (John) Durell of Dallas, and Donna (Kevin) Lacey of Destin, Fla. Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at Richardson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 5 until 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
