CONWAY | Mary Alice Jordan Baker, 60, wife of the late Melvin Ray Baker, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Baker was born in Conway, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Wilbur Lee and Ina Mae Rabon Jordan. She was co-owner and operator of Century II Beauty Salon and Merle Norman Cosmetics. Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Baker Sellers and husband, Clayton, and Mary Lynn Baker all of Conway; two grandchildren, Taylor Rae Sellers and Savannah Caroline Lee both of Conway; two brothers, J.D. Jordan of Marion, and Wayne Jordan of Conway; and two sisters, Harriett Davis and Linda Hardwick both of Conway. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2009 in Langston Baptist Church with the Rev. Lindsey Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Juniper Bay Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
