BELLEVIEW, Fla., - Mrs. Cassie T. Nichols, 89, of Belleview, FL, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Arbor Village in Wildwood. Mrs. Nichols was born in Swansea, SC. She moved to Marion County with her husband, John Willard Nichols, and spent most of her adult life in Marion County. She was a homemaker, and had also worked as a childcare provider in several places locally. Mrs. Nichols was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Belleview. She is survived by her sons James “JW” Nichols, and Ralph Nichols and his wife, Sharon, sister, Pansy Gunter Powell, Florence, SC, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews in the Columbia, SC, area. Mrs. Nichols was interred in Ocklawaha, FL, following private family services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cornerstone Hospice, 12300 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
