FLORENCE, SC — Jimmy Ray Cooper, 52, died Thursday, April 16, 2009. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. Mr. Cooper was born in Marion County, the son of the late Troy and Avie Hewitt Cooper. He was a Residential Contractor. Mr. Cooper was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. Survivors are his wife of 21 years Robin Langston Cooper, Florence; son, Joey Cooper, Florence; daughter, Ali Cooper, Florence; four brothers, Ronnie Cooper, Ben Cooper (Kathy), Johnny Cooper(Gloria) all of Florence, T.L. Cooper (Ernestine), Mullins; sisters, Libby Martin (Johnny), Mary Kirby (Kenny) all of Florence, Connie Benton (Van), Andrews, SC. Special survivors are his Father and Mother-in-Law Joe and Judy Langston of Florence and a special family member Grayson Benehaley and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister Judy Causey and a brother James Cooper. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, C/O McLeod Foundation, P O Box 100551, Florence, SC 29501.
