CONWAY | Evelyn Lundy Edwards, 87, wife of the late Harry Edwards, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Conway Medical Center. Evelyn was born July 15, 1921 in Jordanville, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Clay and Effie Singleton Lundy. Her three brothers, Henry Clay Lundy Jr., Lloyd Lundy and Woodrow Lundy; and a sister, Ida Mae Lundy predeceased her in death. Evelyn was devoted to her family and friends. She was happiest when doing for others and loved flowers and butterflies. As a former resident of Marion, she retired from Southern Bell Telephone after 28 years and was a member of the First United Methodist of Marion. She is survived by her two daughters, Harriet E. (Ward) Lemmon of North Myrtle Beach, and Jann E. (John) Morris of Conway; her beloved sister, Lila Ruth Chryst; sister-in-law, Katherine Lundy of Conway; three grandchildren, Amy L. Conrad and husband, Mark, Rodney W. Lemmon and Jade Brown; her five great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Jessica, Emily, Kymith and Sakkara; also by nieces and nephews who she loved. Memorial Services will be held 3 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 in the First United Methodist Church in Marion. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach.
