SAVANNAH, Ga., - Funeral Services for Barbara Shaw Collins, 77, formerly of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2009, at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Ed McWilliams officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Marshall Sunday School Class and the Chancel Choir of Asbury Church. Mrs. Collins, widow of the late Willie Adolphus Collins, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in Savannah, GA. Born January 7, 1932, in Marion, SC, she was the daughter of Walter Leroy Shaw and Marian Wall Shaw. Mrs. Collins was a music teacher and a long-time member of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church. She was active in the Chancel Choir and the Marshall Sunday School Class. Surviving are her daughter, Katherine Collins Restel and husband Gregory Restel of Savannah, GA; grandsons, Benjamin and Joshua Restel; a sister, Marolyn Shaw Blanton and husband Jack of Greenwood, SC; a brother, Walter Leroy Shaw, Jr. and wife Sarah of Andrews, SC; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
