MARION — Mr. Albert B. Palmer, 89, died Friday, December 5, 2008, at the Marion County Medical Center after an illness. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2008, at Devotion Gardens Cemetery directed by Richardson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th, at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Larue Artice Palmer and Ola Mae Gore Palmer. Mr. Palmer was a member and former deacon of McMillan Memorial Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer. Survivors are his wife, Doretha M. Palmer of the home; seven sons, Larry (Sarah) Palmer, Dwight (Peggy) Palmer, Terry (Tammy) Palmer, Keith Palmer, Jerry Palmer, Denny Palmer, and Gary Palmer, all of Marion; eight daughters, Hope (Von Dean) Turbeville, Linda (Robert) Collins, Dale Edwards, Bonita (David) Cooke Jr., Elizabeth (Jessie) Haselden, all of Marion, Joyce (Ed) Mishoe of Conway, Wanda Stokes of Effingham and Lorraine (Paul) Johnson of Mullins; nineteen Grandchildren; ten Great-Grandchildren; and one sister, Katherine Merryman of Aynor. **************Make your life easier with all your friends, email, and favorite sites in one place.
