Mrs. Grace Martin Ellis, 88 ,widow of Clement Robert Ellis, Jr. died Saturday,December 27, 2008 at Mullins Nursing Center. She was born August 17, 1920 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Whitton Albert Martin, Sr. and the late Donnie Rogers Martin. Mrs. Ellis was manager of Catos for several years. She was a member of Marion Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Ellis are: 2 Daughters: Bobbie Ellis Bullard of Marion and Marcia Ellis Owens of Marion; 2 Grandchildren: Kevin Williamson and his wife Jennifer and Darren Bullard and his wife Kim; 4 Great Grandchildren: Greyson Williamson, Kristin Henderson, Kolin Bullard and Kimberlin Bullard; 2 Brothers: John D. Martin and his wife Nancy of Mullins and Buddy Martin and his wife Peggy of Fort Mill; 3 Sisters: Sug M. Fenters of Mullins, Donnie M. Hughes of Mullins and Martha M. McLane of Mullins; and several special nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ellis was predeceased by a son-in-law, Rex Bullard, a brother, Whit Martin, 2 Sisters, Mary Sue Blount and Dancil M. McKenzie and a sister-in-law, Martha E. Capps. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, December 29 in Devotion Gardens Cemetery, with Bishop Joe Grice officiating. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Ellis daughter, Bobbie Bullard, at 226 Homestead Ct. Marion.
