CONWAY | Shirley W. Gardner, 69, of Clay Ridge Road, died Monday, December 8, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Gardner was born in Marion, a daughter of the late Bernie and Hailey Rowell White. She was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Jordan and Kate Platt. Surviving are one son, Sidney Spivey and wife, Madeline, of Conway; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, William David White of Marion; and two sisters, Burnice Baxley of Wilmington, N.C., and Eliza Britt of Marion. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Palmer Cemetery, Centenary, with the Rev. Dennis Lewis officiating.
