MYRTLE BEACH | Sgt. Jack W. Kennington, USAF Retired, 70, died Monday, Mar. 6, 2006 at Myrtle Beach Manor. Born in Mullins, he was a son of the late Jason B. ''Doc'' and Flossie I. Hinson Kennington. Jack retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1973. He graduated Conway High School, the University of South Carolina and Webster University, where he received a master's degree. Survivors include his sister, Irene Bell and her husband, Col. Robert S.; three nephews, Col. Robert M. Bell and wife, Anne, of Elgin, S.C., Stephen F. Bell of Vienna, Va. and Jeffrey W. Bell of Myrtle Beach. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Mar. 9 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Southeastern Memorial Gardens, North Myrtle Beach.
