BAKER, Leon Entered into eternal rest on the morning of March 16, 2006, A. Leon Baker, widower of Doris Powers Baker, are invited to attend his funeral services Saturday, March 18, 2006 in Bethel United Methodist Church at one o'clock. Interment, Live Oak Gardens. Friends may call at the Church, Friday between five and seven o'clock. Mr. Baker was born April 2, 1916 in Marion, South Carolina, the son of LeRoy T. Baker and Emma Belle Woodberry Baker. He was a graduate of Porter Military Academy and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Mr. Baker retired as Circulation Manager with the Post and Courier. He is survived by one daughter: Ann B. Schwacke of James Island, SC; one son: A.L. Chubby Baker, Jr. and his wife Pat of Kiawah Island, SC; four grandchildren: Christine Baker Hinson, Ricky Hart and his wife Lisa, Grey Hart, Kathy Hart Waite and her husband John; two great grandchildren Cody and McKenzi Waite.
