Susie Rowell-Davis (http://www.legacy.com/Script/CounterRedirect.asp?Name=GBLink_Top&Jump=/FlorenceNews/Guestbook.asp&Page=GuestBook&PersonID=1700948 4) MARION — Susie Rowell-Davis entered into eternal rest on March 6, 2006 at the Marion County Medical Center, after a long illness. Mrs. Davis was born in Marion, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Welden Rowell and Evelyn Kenson-Rowell. She attended the Marion County Public Schools, and was a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church in Gresham, SC. Mrs. Davis was married to the late Mr. Marion J. Davis, Sr. To this union six children were born:Sgt. Marion J. Davis, Jr. (Dee), Susie B. Crawford (William) Mr. Mack L. Davis (Renee), Mr. Joseph Davis (Mary), all of Marion, SC, and Sgt. Kinlaw L. Davis (Guture) of Austin Texas. She was preceded in death by her son Ezell Davis. Mrs. Davis retired from Nursing and enjoyed a number of activities. She enjoyed Southern Style Cooking, and Baking, and her favorite past time was making Grandmas Lye Soap. She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memory, her children, along with sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of relatives friends and love ones. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 3:00 PM, in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Marion, SC, with Dr. Henry McGill, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery, St. Mary Community, Marion, SC. Jackson &McGill Funeral services of Marion in charge of arrangements.
