WEST COLUMBIA - Graveside services for Mr. Clarence Ray Gordon, 84, will be held 2pm Saturday, February 4, 2006, at Cederdale Cemetery, Mullins, SC. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9pm this (FRIDAY) evening in Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Holland Avenue Baptist Church, Cayce, SC or to Pets Inc. of West Columbia. Mr. Gordon died Wednesday, February 1, 2006. Born in Mullins, SC, he was a son of the late Cyrus J. and Ellen Collins Gordon. He was retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a member of the North Charleston VFW Post 5091. Mr. Gordon attended Holland Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed his close friends at the Lizards Thicket on Airport Rd; was a lover of animals, music and the USC Gamecocks. Survivors are his daughter, Carolyn Rae Gordon of West Columbia, SC; sisters, Helen G. Pace of Summerville, SC and Lois Hardee of Tabor City, NC; nieces, Claire Pace of N. Charleston, SC, Pat Bullard (Jerry) of Tabor City, NC, Ellen Stephens of Summerville, SC, Kathy Gore of Whiteville, NC and Jennifer Legette of Summerville, SC; nephews, Zack Pace, Jr., (Brenda) of Rutledge, GA, Richard Hardee (Mary) of Concord, NC, Tony Gore (Becky) of Chapel Hill, NC, Bill Pace (Donna) of Summerville, SC and Gordon Pace (Karen) of Summerville, SC.
