    2. GRESHAM — Jackson General Jack Woodberry, 86, the husband of Madeline Poston Woodberry, passed away Wednesday evening, Feb. 8, 2006, at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Woodberry was born Oct. 2, 1919, in old Woodberry Township in Marion County, the son of Charlie Douglas Woodberry and Addie Bourne Woodberry. He was a retired farmer; received an honorable discharge in 1944 from the United States Reserve Corps; and was a member of Central Methodist Church in Gresham. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Jackson was predeceased by his parents; three sons, Ralph Donald Woodberry, Charlie Douglas Woodberry and Danny Lee Woodberry; four brothers, George Woodberry, Richard Dick Woodberry, Romeo Woodberry and Carter Woodberry; and three sisters, Louise W. Martin, Marion W. Lowrimore and Margorie Goodman. Surviving in addition to his wife of 63 years are a son, Jacob Dewey (Brenda) Woodberry of Gresham; three daughters, Shelby Jean (Robert) Powell and Pamela Faye Cooper, both of Gresham, and Jackie (Billy Wayne) Johnson of Centenary; a brother, Grover (Margie) Woodberry of Conway; a sister, Juliette (David) Todd of Pamplico; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at the Chapel of Palmetto Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Fennell officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Neck Cemetery in Gresham.
