    1. Re: [SCMARION-L] Book Sources on the Pee Dee area
    2. Thank you so much for all this information. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this!!! Did you get this information from a book? As busy a man as Joseph Burch was, I've been very surprised not to have found more information about him and his family. I keep thinking I'm just not looking in the right places. Yes, Mary married (2) Dr. Samuel Kilburn. Thanks, again! 1. Re: [SCMARION-L] Book Sources on the Pee Dee area SC Archive
    2. ahunt
    3. This link is to an Archive operated by South Carolina. http://www.state.sc.us/scdah/ On left had side click on "Records Indexes to Key Series Available On-line" This link will take you to. http://www.archivesindex.sc.gov On next page click the "Search Page" in lower right corner. Should be on this website now. http://www.archivesindex.sc.gov/search/default.asp -What I do is select -Database Select: All Database -1st Category Search : Individual Enter the 1st Individual, Location, Topic or Document Type: Burch, The comma on end let you select only Burch not Burchs. Another word if I used "Hunt," I would only get Hunt and not include Hunter or Huntt. You can use like "Burch, J" and get all Joseph, James, John etc -Boolean Search Option: This can be left alone but if you want to see if there was a connection between two people you would use "AND" I did this to see if Burch had any connection wiht surname Hunt. -2nd Search category: This can be useful if you wanted to break down the area he is in. Such as using "Cheraw" for all Burch "and" Cheraw . This would return all data about Burch in Cheraw County and District. Cheraw can be changed to Marion, Marlborough, Liberty etc. It is not required to fill any parameter from Boolean search and below you can still search just using the first three fields. If this isn't clear feel free to email me off list. Enjoy Allen Hunt [email protected] wrote: > Thank you so much for all this information.
