DILLLON — Woodrow W. Cook, 86, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Born in Dillon County, September 5, 1922, he was the son of the late Madison Cook and Eliza Hill Cook. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and was a member of Dillon Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife, Fleetwood Cook of Dillon; daughters, Bonnie Medlin of Dilsboro, NC, Gwendolyn Carter of Mullins, Linda Priester of Marion, Carol Daniels of Dilsboro, NC, Renee Sanchez of Lake View, Connie Meriweather of Augusta, GA; sons, Terry Cook of North Charleston, Jack Cook of Lake View, Billy Cook of Nichols, Robert Gray of Hamer, Bobby Cook of Lake View, and Christopher Cook of Dillon; sisters, Hazel Barney of Lake View, Sarah Bullard of Florence, and Annie Butler of Fayetteville, NC; 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
