TEMPERANCE HILL — Brenda Kay Prescott George, 61, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at her home after an illness. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, July 3 at Union Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Richardson Funeral Home. The family received visitors Thursday, July 2 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. George was born in Sumter, a daughter of Gladys Weeks Prescott of Dillon and the late Carlie Roy Prescott. She was a homemaker and member of Union Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert Earl George of the home; son, Robert Samuel George, and his wife, Sonya, of Fork; daughter, Khristy Kay George Snipes, and her husband, Robbie, of Latta; brothers, Johnny Prescott of North Myrtle Beach, Wayne Prescott of Latta, and Mike Prescott of Marion; a sister, Joyce Rouse of Fork; grandchildren, Samuel and Joshua George of Fork, as well as Benjamin and Matthew Snipes of Latta.
