MULLINS — Teddy Kurt Holden, Sr., 72, husband of Brenda Molly Sweat Holden, died Saturday, July 4, 2009 at his home after an illness. He was born October 17, 1936 in Marion County, a son of the late Lewis E. and Theda Rogers Holden. Teddy was owner of Holdens Welding, Holdens Trailers and Holdens Carriage Service. He was co-owner of Mollys Florist. Surviving Teddy in addition to his Wife of the home are: his Children: Tangie Russ and her husband Jerry of Mullins, Eric Holden and his wife Allison of Aynor, Bucky Brown and his wife Sara of North Augusta, Karen Collins, Kim Furguson and her husband Mike of Myrtle Beach, and Rhonda Burroughs and her husband Randy of Marion; 10 Grandchildren; a Sister: Sylvia Kaye Register and her husband Billy of Marion; a Brother-in-Law: Bill Sweat and his wife Patsy of Norfolk, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Teddy was predeceased by a son, Teddy Kurt Holden, Jr. and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, July 6 at Mr. Holdens home at 7448 Old Nichols Highway in Mullins. Burial will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the home.
