NICHOLS — Lucille J. Gran Watson, 88, of Nichols, SC, died Friday, July 3, 2009, at a Florence health care facility after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. Burial will follow, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mrs. Watson was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Alvie and Louise Stroud Jernigan. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and the W.M.U. of the Church. She was owner and operator of Lucilles Beauty Shop in Nichols for over 25 years. She loved Gardening, Cooking and a Clean Home. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Daienell Brown, who died July of 1981, a son, Tom Brown, who died March of 2009, and a grandson, Jeff Brown; five sisters and two brothers. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, John P. Watson; son, Roy Brown of Nichols; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Kirven, Deborah Monnett, Tammie Brown, Greg Brown, Elizabeth Lowell and Kristen Stephens and a number of great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shephard Care Hospice, 210 S.
