MARION — Cola Cooter McDaniel, Jr., 66, died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Carolinas Hospital System after an illness. A graveside service will be held at at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7 at Cedar Creek Cemetery, directed by Richardson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the cemetery after the service. Mr. McDaniel was born in Mullins, a son of the late Cola McDaniel, Sr. and Maggie Springs McDaniel. Surviving are his wife, Judy Hammond McDaniel, of the home; stepson, Johnny Hammond of Marion; stepdaughter, Angela Buffkin of Loris; brother, Joe McDaniel of Columbia; and a sister, Zilphine McDaniel Crosby of Andrews; three grandsons and one great-grand-daughter.
