MARION, SC — David Carlton Lane, 72, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Hospice House after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Richardson Funeral Home, burial will follow at Spring Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the funeral home. Mr. Lane was born in Marion County, a son of the late Willie Percy Lane and Hallie Rogers Lane. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Latta and was a retired truck driver. Surviving are his wife, Annie Sue Lane of the home; daughter, Tina Sue Stroud and her husband, Bobby of Marion; grandsons, David Benjamin Stroud and Christian Bruce Stroud of Marion; brothers, Rhemar Percy Lane, of Greenville, SC, William Roger Lane of Clayton, NC, and Jerry Clifton Lane of Wendell, NC.
