Laurinburg, N.C. | Mrs. Betty Huggins Small, 59, wife of Steve Small, formerly of Marion, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at her home in Laurinburg, N.C., after an extended illness. She was born February 28, 1950 in Marion, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Liston Huggins and the late Daisy Belle Cooper Huggins Campbell. Betty was a homemaker. Surviving Betty in addition to her husband of the home are a son, Steven Small and his wife, Katherine, of Little River; two daughters, Ashley Cline and her husband, Phillip, of Laurinburg, N.C., and Amy Cox and her husband, Bobby, of Lumberton, N.C.; her grandchildren, HaLeigh Small, Ethan Cox, Avery Cox, Olivia Cox, Braden Cline, and Brylie Cline; two brothers, Bill Huggins and his wife, Nancy, of Columbia, and Willie Huggins and his wife, Jazie, of Marion; a sister, Jewell Harrelson and her husband, Henry, of Sumter; and a sister-in-law, Faye Huggins. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Marion Church of God in Marion.
