COLUMBIA | John ''Randy'' Johnson, 52, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Born in Mullins, he was a son of Jeanette Todd Gardner and the late Franklin Boyd Johnson. During his youth, he was a member of Ravenwood Baptist Church. Randy graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He was a loyal Gamecock fan and enjoyed boating on Lake Murray. He was a loving father, faithful friend, and wonderful son. Randy was predeceased by a brother, Frank Johnson. Surviving are his mother, of Eastover; son, Hank Johnson of Charleston; his mother, Pamala Craven of Columbia; daughter, Jessie Johnson; son, Jay Johnson of Columbia; their mother, Tammy Johnson; brother, Philip Johnson of Columbia; and sister, Susan (Bishop) Hardwick of Nichols. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008 in Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
