LATTA — Mrs. Annie Ruth Weatherford, 71, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at her residence in Oak Grove. Visitation will be at Kannadays Funeral Home in Dillon from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Kannadays Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon with burial in Bethesda Southern Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Kannadays Funeral Home of Dillon. Mrs. Weatherford was born in Dillon County on Oct. 17, 1937, a daughter of the late Arthur Jackson and Lennie Williams Jackson and was married to Bennie Weatherford. She was a homemaker and member of Dothan Baptist Church. Mrs. Weatherford is survived by her husband, Bennie Weatherford of the home; son, Henry Weatherford (Florence) of Latta; daughters, Anita Huggins (Chip) of Dillon, Terri Johnson (Robert), Susanne Pelt (Johnny), both of Latta, Janet Bethea (Buddy) of Marion; brothers, Hunter Jackson (Dorothy) of Latta, Neil Jackson (Margaret) of Wallace; sisters, Peggy Ard (Leverne), Kathryn Branch (Paul), Gail Berry (Victor), all of Bennettsville, Virginia Hayes (Johnny) of Dillon; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Mrs. Shirley Powers of Latta.
