PENSACOLA, Fla. | Katie Geraldine Owens Donald, 68, wife of John Joseph ''Joe'' Donald, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. after an illness. She was born May 27, 1940 in Marion County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late William Henry Owens Sr. and the late Zetta Mae Lewis Owens. Mrs. Donald was a homemaker and a member of Ensley Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Pensacola, Fla. Surviving Mrs. Donald in addition to her husband of the home are a sister, Frankie Owens Atkinson of Mullins; four brothers, W.H. Owens Jr., Lonnie Owens, Boyd Owens, and Jimmy Owens, all of Mullins; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Donald was preceded in death by a sister, Fannie Owens Capps; and a brother, Dan Owens. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008 in the Gapway Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Campbell officiating.
