MULLINS - Mrs. Azalee Johnson Brogdon, 89, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the Mullins Nursing Center. She was born October 7, 1919 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Ellis and Rose Johnson. She was predeceased by her husband, W.B. “Bill” Brogdon, Sr. Surviving Mrs. Brogdon are her children, Barbara B. Sawyer of Mobile, AL, Tanya B. Tucker of Mullins, Jean B. Helms and her husband Colin of Charlotte, NC, Doreen B. Shirah and her husband Billy of Georgetown, GA., Diane B. Price and her husband Jimmy of Wilmington, NC, W.B. “Butch” Brogdon, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Loris, Judy B. Garris and her husband Cary of Lake View, Kirkland Legrande Brogdon and his wife Charm of Lakewood, CA, and David Shep Brogdon and his wife Janice of Loris; 25 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, at Praise Temple, located on Hwy. 76 West in Mullins, with the Rev. Eddie Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
