FLORENCE | Mrs. Verna Mae Larrimore Jordan, 70, wife of the late Henry Ralph Jordan, of Florence, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in a local health care facility after a brief illness. She was born September 20, 1938 in Marion, to the late James Chesley and Vivian Mae Bowen Larrimore Sr. She was also predeceased by a son, Phillip Jordan Sr.; brothers, O.A. ''Larry'' Larrimore and James ''J.C.'' Larrimore; and a sister, Margaret Todd. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. Survivors Include sons, Ricky (Audrey) Jordan of Timmonsville and Ralph ''Buddy'' (Julie) Jordan of Florence; brother, Alvin (Gertrude) Larrimore of Florence; sister, Mary (H.B.) Richardson of Conway; sisters-in-laws, Linda Larrimore of Conway and Debbie Larrimore of Florence; daughter-in-law, Barbara Jordan of Florence; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Jordan will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2008 in Florence Baptist Temple conducted by the Rev. Bill Monroe. The committal will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Cain Funeral Home.
