Hazel Pace Lupo, 93, wife of the late Luke H. Lupo, of the Isle of Palms, SC, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 19, 2008. The relatives and friends of Hazel Lupo are invited to attend her funeral service at the graveside on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend David Surrett and the Reverend Donald O. Clendaniel, II will officiate. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in the Mt. Pleasant Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Hazel was born December 14, 1914 in Marion, South Carolina, daughter of the late William B. Pace and Janie Britt Pace. She attended Columbia Business School and was a member of the Isle of Palms United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she was secretary for the Sunday School and a member of the WMU. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and was retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard where she was in charge of military shipping. She is survived by one brother, Charles Pace of Ladson, SC; a sister, Dotty Henry of Moncks Corner, SC; many nieces and nephews and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Lupo and four brothers, Ravenel Pace, Harold Pace, Zack Pace and William B. Pace, Jr. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 5965 Core Road, Suite 603, North Charleston, SC 29406 or Sweetgrass Court, Memory Care Community, 1010 Anna Knapp Blvd., Mt.
