Services for Lizzie Rebecca Herring will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday in Pyerian Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home. Mrs. Herring, 96, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at McLeod Medical Center-Dillon. Born in Dillon County, June 17, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Peter David McLellan and Dora Daniels McLellan Caulder. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, and was homemaker. She was the widow of the late Harman Emory Herring. Survivors include her daughters, Hazel Cooper, Sue (Otis) Rich, and Virginia Hardy all of Latta, Joyce McInnis of Marion, Sarah (Freeman) Richardson of Johnsonville, and Gail (Bob) Herring of Elizabeth City, NC; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
