MARION — Mrs. Clara Larimore Bourne, 96, widow of Luther L. Bourne, Sr., died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after an illness. She was born March 30, 1912 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Gertrude Sawyer Larimore. Mrs. Bourne retired from Heritage Sportswear. She was a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Bourne are: 2 Sons: Luther L. Bourne, Jr. and his wife Jeanette of Moncks Corner and Lester A. Bourne and his wife Barbara of Conyers, Ga.; 4 Daughters: Gussie B. Avant of Florence, Hallie B. Williams and her husband Donald of Jacksonville, Fla., Nadine B. Wise of Florence and Doris B. Dimery and her husband Danny of Effingham; 10 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; a Brother: Troy Larimore of Mullins; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bourne was predeceased by 2 sons-in-law, A.L. Bud Avant and Charles W. Wise, Sr., 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 6 at Reedy Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Darrell Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Reedy Creek Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Smith-Collins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Reedy Creek Baptist Church, 2508 S.
