GILBERT — Mr. Hollis R. Gordon, 77, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009. He was born in Mullins, a son of the late Elsie R. Gordon. Mr. Gordon was a graduate of Mullins High School, was retired from PYA Monarch and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Gilbert. Surviving Mr. Gordon are: his Wife: Virginia R. Gordon of the home; a Son: Hollis R. Gordon, Jr. and his wife Patti of Eutawville; 3 Sisters: Bea Cohen and Joyce Zimmerman, both of Mullins and Evelyn Gore of Conway; and a Brother: Jimmy Gordon and his wife Bonnie of Spartanburg. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 1 at Cedardale Cemetery, 1001 North Main Street, Mullins. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Joyce Zimmerman, 1101 Maple St., Mullins.
