BRITTONS NECK — Mrs. Aleese Ellis Richardson, 87, widow of Robert Lee Bobby Richardson, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Conway Medical Center. She was born January 2, 1922 in Anson County, N.C., a daughter of the late John Cleveland J.C. and Nanny Mise Ellis. Mrs. Richardson retired from the Brittons Neck schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a member of Woodmen of the World. Surviving Mrs. Richardson are: 3 Sons: Timothy E. Richardson of Marion, Bobby E. Richardson of Brittons Neck and Frank J. Richardson of Brittons Neck; a Daughter: Nancy R. Holt of Wilmington, N.C.; 12 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Sisters: Mabel Bullard of Winston-Salem N.C. and Ethel Lane of Marion. Mrs. Richardson was predeceased by 2 daughters, Carolyn R. Lewis and Judy Richardson and a brother, W.J. Ellis. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, January 8 at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Farrell Cox and the Rev. Jamie Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Old Neck Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Smith-Collins Funeral Home.
