GREEN SEA | Dwight Calhoun ''D.C.'' Arnette, 94, died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at his home. He was born in Horry County, South Carolina, the son of the late Jerome Calhoun Arnette and Comfort Grainger Arnette. He was a farmer and a member of Carolina Baptist Church for over 60 years. He is survived by his wife, Bertie Hill Arnette of Green Sea; two daughters, Bobbie Watts and husband, Howard, of Green Sea, and Robin Basily and husband, Kamal, of Mullins; three grandchildren, Tracey Watts of Conway, Tanya Blanton of Summerville, and Hope Anderson of Myrtle Beach; two great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2009 in Carolina Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Freddie Gardner and Dr. Richard Wilson, with interment in the Carolina Cemetery, Green Sea, S.C. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Inman Funeral Home.
