NICHOLS | Ila Edwards, 91, died Thursday, January 22, 2009, at McLeod Medical Center. Mrs. Edwards was born April 15, 1917, in Horry County, a daughter of the late Joe and Sarah Elizabeth Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Edwards. She is survived by two sisters, Earlene Elliott of Dillon, and Miriam Hooks of Mt. Olive; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Edwards was a retired farmer, and a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Riverside Cemetery, Nichols, with the Rev. Phil Fishbach officiating.
