    2. MARION | Mrs. Myra Floyd Parker, 81, realized her hope in Jesus Christ through her death on Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at her home at Brighton Gardens in Greenville. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Curtis and Lizzie Vaught Floyd of Marion. Myra joins her husband, James, in the eternal presence of Jesus Christ. She leaves behind two sons and their wives, Claud Theodore and Wanda Parker of St. Augustine, Fla. and James Floyd and Bonnie Parker of Greenville; four grandchildren, Keats, Dylan, Michelle and Michal; two great-grandchildren, Kayden and Kya; and many other members of her larger family and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, H.B. Floyd, Albert W. Floyd, Curtis W. Floyd, Frank M. Floyd and sisters, Doris Booth, Sallivee Port and Theatus Floyd. Myra was a member of Marion Baptist Church and worshipped in Greenville with ACTS Fellowship. Her passion was mission service with her church. She was a Sunday School teacher and WMU leader. She retired from Progressive Energy of Marion. Myra was a graduate of Marion High School and Draughtons Business College in Marion. Services will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006 at 3 p.m. at Marion Baptist Church. Private family interment will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
