LORIS | Mrs. Bertha Rackley Inman, 90, of the Daisy community died Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at her home. Born April 13, 1916 in Hand, S.C., Mrs. Inman was the widow of the late Rupert Alton Inman and daughter of the late Daniel Payton Rackley and the late Captola Edwards. Mrs. Inman retired as a tobacco farmer and was a longtime member of Macedon ia Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities including the church choir. Mother was a devoted Christian and a wonderful loving mother. We all will miss her love, friendship and daily prayers. Mother loved her family, friends and church family. Survivors include her three sons, Maxie Inman (Air Force retiree) and wife, Peggy Inman of Surfside Beach, Herman Inman (Pepsi-Cola retiree) and wife, Ruth Inman of Marion, and Ray Inman (Macina-Boze Survey) and wife, Terri Inman of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Brenda Spivey (Brenda's Golden Needle) and husband, Billy Joe Spivey of Myrtle Beach, Marvalene Hutchinson (Hair Jazz) of Summerville and Gwendolyn Susie Hardee (Brenda's Golden Needle) and Wesley Hardee of Loris. Granny left us many memories, lots of love and Christian teachings that will be cherished and honored for eternity. She leaves 13 grandchildren, Darryl Inman, Eric Inman, Dawn Cox, Tracie Fisher, Malissa Hamer, Chris Inman, Alicia Offhaus, Derrick Spivey, Wendy Shelley, Lori Broderick, Tania Cummings, Clint Hardee and Amy Hardee. Also surviving are 15 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Courtney, Holly and Cady Inman, Brian and Brandon Cox, Matthew and Cole Fisher, Ashley Hamer, Travis Spivey, Aaron and Brooke Shelley, Payton Broderick, Chase Cummings and Shayla Hardee. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial following at Edge Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Jimmy Caines and the Rev. Bill Thompson. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, August 18, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hardwick Funeral Home.
