MULLINS | Russell Thomas ''Rusty'' Edwards, 41, husband of Connie Snipes Edwards died Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Rusty was born Feb. 14, 1965 in Marion County, a son of Lydia Mae Buffkin. Surviving Rusty, in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Dustin Ryan Edwards and Alexandria Snipes Edwards, both of Mullins; his mother and stepfather, Lydia Mae and Jessie Buffkin of Mullins; a sister, Connie Annette Wiley of Columbia; his niece, April Marie Butler of Mullins; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Peggy Snipes of Mullins; and a special friend, Michael Haire of Mullins. Rusty was predeceased by his grandmother, Lydia Turner Taylor. Visitation will be 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening, August 31, 2006 at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
